The Institute of Public Relations (IPR) has observed a decline in the Professional Public Relations space. This according to the Institute is as a result of non-adherence to professional values, lack of recognition of time, code of ethics and unprofessional relationships with media counterparts.

The Institute calls on its members to re-orient themselves and adhere to the highest standards of values and ethics demanded of them as professionals in Public Relations.

This is contained in a six-point communique issued at the National Conference and 25th Annual General Meeting of the IPR in Winneba.

The meeting considered several issues on Communications and Public Relations, Corporate governance and the role of the practitioner.
