Residents of Krachi in the Krachi West municipality of the Oti region have hit the streets to show their displeasure with the poor power supply by NEDCo in the municipality.
Business in the municipal is collapsing after NEDCo was not able to supply them with a stable supply for the past six months.
The demonstration saw many people from far and near team up and hit the streets of Krachi.
They began from Gyanekrom, GBC Krachi Radio junction, through the town to the lakeside and ended the demonstration at the Municipal Assembly office where they presented their petition to the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Kajal Jalula.
Mr. Ben Ntoso, who is the Youth President, read the petition in front of the demonstrators and later presented a copy to the MCE.
In response to the petition, Hon. Emmanuel Kajal Jalula promised the people that their cry would soon be heard by the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Darnkwa Akufo-Addo.
