The Chief Executive Officer of Lushann International Energy Ghana Limited, Quincy Sintim-Aboagye has debunked reports that the company contributed to the collapse of the erstwhile UT Bank as it was indebted to the Bank to the tune of GH¢84 million.
At a news conference in Accra, Mr. Sintim-Aboagye noted that it is rather the other way round as it was the UT Bank which colluded with two former employees of Lushan to defraud Lushann and the government of Ghana.
Mr. Sintim-Aboagye explained that following these events the offshore producing company reported the case to national security, however no action was taken.
Mr. Sintim-Aboagye said the issue is currently in court to enable the company to recover some of its funds.
He expressed Lushan’s preparedness to dialogue with the overtakers of UT Bank, GCB Bank for a win-win solution to the problem.
