Management of Trafalgar Gate Pharmacy in Ho has donated some essential items to nursing mothers at the maternity ward of the Ho Teaching Hospital in commemoration of Mother’s Day.

The items included diapers, baby wipes and oil, soaps, powder, detergents, disinfectants, sanitary pads, among others. The gesture forms part of the Pharmacy’s corporate social responsibility, which it does annually for public good.

The Manager of Trafalgar Gate Pharmacy, Emmanuel Percy Seneadza said his outfit chose the maternity ward of the Ho Teaching Hospital to put smiles on the faces of the lactating mothers who had just given birth and to honour and appreciate mothers for their sacrifices. He pledged his outfit’s commitment to periodically embark on such gestures in its zeal to impact lives in society.

“We all know the crucial role mothers play in our community from ages, hence the need to recognise their efforts. So we are here today purposely to acknowledge them with these gifts to show our appreciation.  This is not our first time doing this, we have supported some wards in the past and we intend to do more. Today is just to celebrate our mothers here but we still have a lot to do for the various wards because we operate because of them, without them, Trafalgar Gate Pharmacy would not exist”, Mr Seneadza said.

The Ward In-charge of the Maternity Ward at the Hospital, Benedicta Torkonoo who received the hampers on behalf of management, thanked the Pharmacy for the gesture saying it would go a long way to help the lactating mothers. She appealed to other organisations and individuals to emulate such benevolence.

“We’re grateful to Trafalgar Gate Pharmacy for coming over with these beautiful gifts to our mothers to celebrate mother’s day with them. We’re so grateful for your kind gesture we look forward for other assistance from you”, she said.

Some beneficiaries of the hampers thanked the Pharmacy for the hampers.
