Manhyia bans funeral rites in Ashanti Region from April 8 to 29

The Manhyia Palace says no funeral rites would be allowed in the Ashanti Region from April 8 to 29, 2019.
This is to pave the way for the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the enstoolment of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu.
A statement signed by the Chief of Staff of Manhyia, Kofi Badu said the directive is in line with customs and tradition of the Ashanti Kingdom.
