The Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority, Alhaji Dr Abdel-Majeed Haroun has been sacked.
A letter signed by Executive Secretary at the Presidency Nana Asante Bediatuo stated no reason for the revocation of the appointment.
President Akufo-Addo created the Northern Development Authority, together with the Middle Belt and Coastal Development Authorities, and tasked them to implement the Infrastructure for the Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP).
The establishment of the development authorities was passed into law in November 2017.
