Former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba has called for the implementation of laws to protect the rights of Persons With Disability, especially Albinism, to give them equal opportunities in society.

According to her, enforcement of the disability laws is weak, due to neglect in implementation.

Speaking at a stakeholder’s forum on Albinism in Koforidua, Madam Afisa Djaba stressed the need for Ghanaians to be educated on Albinism, to reduce the stigmatization of Albinos.
