Police drop charges against NDC Vice Chairman Alhaji Sinare

The Police have dropped charges of illegal possession of arms  against the Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare.

The same charge against one other person, Tahiru Ahmed has also been dropped.

The Police had invited Alhaji Said Sinare to interrogate him over an AK47 rifle and pump action guns suspected to be his and presented to the Police as evidence but as he reported to the Police he was arrested and arraigned before Court.

Alhaji Sinare and one Tahiru Ahmed were charged with conspiracy to commit crime and possession of firearms without lawful authority.
