The Upper West Regional Police Command has held a meeting with some stakeholders at Wa to strategise on how to prevent serial murder and missing private security personnel in the region.

Just this week, a 60-year-old private security man, Mr. Kwame Badigbee from Charia went missing after leaving home for work.

This brings to four, the number of private security persons either killed or missing in the last four months.

Last month, the Overload of the Waala traditional area Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo expressed concern over what he described as serial killings in the Wa Municipality. Within three months two private security persons were said to have been murdered and another missing.

Briefing the media after the meeting, the Regional Police Commander DCOP Peter Ndekugri said the police have not been able to arrest anyone in connection with the killings and the missing private security men. He urged the public to assist the Police with information on criminal activities.

The Regional Police Commander also hinted of a reward to informants whose tip-off leads to the arrest of the perpetrators.

The meeting included proprietors of private schools, managers of filling stations, and

other institutions that engage the services of private security persons.
