Borteyman, a thriving suburb of Accra, is witnessing a new dawn in safety and security. After tireless efforts from residents, local leaders and stakeholders, a groundbreaking ceremony has taken place to officially commission the first ultra-modern police station in the community. This milestone represents a united commitment to protecting the neighbourhood, fostering a brighter future for all.

The Borteyman Police station is a symbol of the community’s commitment to protecting lives, property and upholding the rule of law for a safer and more secure tomorrow. Built through the collective efforts of residents, stakeholders and local authorities, this state-of-the-art facility stands as a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together.

The Chairman of Borteyman Residents’ Association, Mr. Benard Larbi Amoah disclosed that apartments have been provided for police officers.

The Tema Regional Police Commander, DCOP Barnabas Nasumong, assured residents that Police officers stationed there would operate with integrity and responsiveness to local needs.

The new Police station located within the premises of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) building, was officially commissioned by the Minister for the Interior, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed–Mubarak.

Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak emphasized that the police station will serve as a vital hub for police operations and community engagement, enabling officers to respond swiftly to challenges and work closely with residents to address security concerns.

 He therefore called on residents to partner with the police, share information and work together to foster a culture of safety and peace.

Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak donated four motorbikes to support the police station’s operations and pledged to finance the installation of CCTV cameras in the area.
