Stop the falsehood, COVID-19 vaccines are safe- Rev Wengam

Head Pastor of Cedar Mountain Assemblies of God, Rev Steve Wengam, has called on Ghanaians to discard the misconception about the COVID-19 vaccine and be vaccinated.

He said there are no complications with the vaccine as being alleged by some people and urged those peddling those lies to desist.

Speaking at a special service to mark Ghana’s 64th independence Anniversary, the Rev Wengam said COVID-19 disease is no respecter of political affiliations, and the earlier all rally behind the government campaign to make the vaccination a success the better for the growth and prosperity of Ghana.

The month of March has been designated heritage month to celebrate the rich culture of Ghana. It is in this recognition that the Cedar Mountains Assemblies of God has also designated the month as Ghana day to celebrate and acknowledge the various cultural diversity and the role various Ghanaians played in attaining political independence for the country.

The congregants dressed in various traditional attire to depict the various cultures that make Ghana unique.

Lead Pastor of the Church Rev Steve Wengam said God has been so gracious to Ghana even in the midst of the global pandemic of COVID-19.

He urged the congregation and all Ghanaians to dispel rumours and propaganda being spread about the COVID-19 vaccine and get vaccinated.

He said the goodness of God for Ghana can be seen in the just ended Election Petition where all the parties have accepted the verdict of the court in good faith.

Rev Wengam noted that in other countries elections have thrown societies into war but God has been gracious to Ghana.

The CEO of the National Communications Authority, Joe Anokye who was the special guest for the occasion, said election violence, social segregation in other countries have made national development impossible.

However, Ghana with all the various ethnic groups and cultural diversity has been intact even in the face of the election disagreements.

Special prayers were offered for the President and all those in government.
