Operations Motherland team made up of the police, military and Immigration Service has arrested nineteen suspected immigrants at Akuse in the Eastern Region.
They were on board a VW Crafter bus with registration GR 1354-21 which was driven by one Mawuli Katasi 32, and his mate Kofi Nyavedzi 35.
A statement from Eastern Regional Police PRO, Sargent Francis Gomado stated that the suspects when interviewed by the police confirmed their identities as Nigerians and that they were traveling from Aflao to Madina in Accra.
The suspected immigrants with ages between 21 and 56 have been handed over to the immigration officials for further action.
