A Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr John Kumah has assured Nation Builders Corps, NABCO, trainees that Government will pay their arrears soon.

The Deputy Finance Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for Ejisu gave the hint on the Breakfast Show on GTV.
Asked to give the actual time for payment, Dr Kumah said he cannot give a timeline but was sure that clearance has been given for payment to be made.

He said processes are underway with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to ensure the smooth transfer of money to the trainees.

BACKGROUND
 

The three-year NABCO programme was introduced in May 2018, with 100,000 beneficiaries.

The contract ended on October, 31, 2021 however, government owes the trainees some arrears.
