Utility companies apologise for inefficiencies in service

The Deputy Managing Director in charge of Finance at the Ghana Water Company, Remy Poroh has apologised to all consumers for unreliable water supply.

Mr. Poroh said the current situation faced is as a result of ”inadequate funds”.

Speaking at a Public Hearing for the Multi-year major tariff Review in Accra, he said the company is working to ”provide better services to consumers”.

Meanwhile, a member of the Tariff Communication Team at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Sylvia Norshie, says they are proposing a change in the tariff structure since the current one poses a challenge not only to them but to customers at large.
