The Colleges of Education Teacher’s Association of Ghana has unanimously agreed to embark on an indefinite strike effective Thursday, January 6, 2022.

The decision was taken at a National Council meeting held on Monday, January 4, 2022 following failure by the Government to implement the 2017-2020 Conditions of Service and payment of nine-month arrears owed to them. The strike will be carried out in all 46 Public Colleges of Education across the country.

The National Council entreats all CETAG members to comply with the directive until further notice with the withdrawal of teaching, which is one of its main duties as stipulated in the Harmonized Conditions for Colleges of Education.
