President Akufo-Addo has rejected reports that government misapplied funds meant for the fight against COVID-19.
The Auditor General’s report on Ghana’s covid-19 transactions from March 2020 to June 2022 uncovered several infractions relative to expenditures in the fight against the global pandemic.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo says government expenditure has been on urgent projects across the country.
Addressing the nation in Parliament, the President debunked claims that his government has been reckless in its expenditure.
The President was quick to add that his government has invested more in infrastructure than any government in the history of the fourth republic especially in the area of Roads.
