The Ghana Health Service (GHS), has expressed concern over alleged stealing of COVID-19 vaccine by three staff of the Service.

A statement, signed by the Director-General of the Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, condemned the act saying an administrative inquiry has been instituted and that appropriate sanctions would be applied if the suspects are found culpable.

The statement said the Service commits to cooperate with the Security Agencies to unravel circumstances leading to what it describes as an illicit act.

The statement said all COVID-19 vaccines are free of charge and that all citizens should be vigilant and report anyone sellingthem.

The statement says the GHS will ensure that all persons eligible for the vaccine get it free of charge.
