Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Samira Bawumia has reiterated the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s commitment to develop Zongo communities across Ghana.

It is against this background that President Akufo-Addo established the Ministry of Inner Cities and Zongo Development, and the Zongo Development Fund to help develop the human capacity and infrastructural deficit in such areas.

She made the assertion when she toured some selected Zongo communities in the New Juaben North and South Constituencies in Koforidua and the Eastern Regional capital.

The Aspiring Member of Parliament for Kade, Alexander Kwadjo Agyare spoke to the Zongo Communities on the need to vote for the NPP.

The Chief of Akwatia, Osabarima Kofi Boateng entreated the aspiring candidates to conduct their campaign devoid of insults.

He gave the advice when Mrs. Bawumia paid a courtesy call on him at his Palace.

He said Akwatia has experienced peace in recent times, therefore all political leaders in the Constituency should ensure the same prevails before, during and after the elections.
