Omanhene of Akyem Kotoku admitted into Eastern Regional House of Chiefs

The Paramount Chief of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Oseadiayo Dr. Frimpong Manso has been sworn in and admitted into the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs. 

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Conference Hall of the office of the Eastern Region House of Chiefs in Koforidua, led by the Supervising High Court Judge, Mrs Comfort Bekyem and the President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, Nene Sakite where the Kotokuhene Oseadiayo Dr. Frimpong Manso swore the oath of office and secrecy to the house. 

The President of the Regional House of Chiefs, Nene Sakite in his speech noted that the admission of the Akyem Kotokuhene into the Regional House of Chiefs has made the house fully present adding that it is a welcoming news to the house. 

He recalled that previously, their absence in the house really affected the proceedings of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs. Nene Sakite stated that his addition to the house will foster progress made, adding that it will help reduce the workload on the few people of the house. 

He assured that the Regional House of Chiefs will continue to work hard around the clock to resolve all other outstanding chieftaincy disputes in the region to help maintain peace and unity in the region. 

The Kotokuhene Oseadiayo Dr. Frimpong Manso in his acceptance speech pledged to give off his utmost service to Akyem Kotoku and call for togetherness, peace and unity within the Akyem Kotoku enclave and the entire country.
