Fire has gutted stalls at Kantamanto Railway in Accra. The fire is reported to have started at dawn. GBC’s Steven Nyarko reports that Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service are on the ground dousing the inferno.

”Currently, I am at the railway station at Kantamanto, Accra, where the fire is occurring. I got here around 4:40 am……… by the time I got here, it was burning. The place was already, ……..under fire and the Fire Service are also doing their best to bring the fire under control. There were three Tenders here, one just left and I think it was going to fill it and come back, but the Personnel are still fighting,” he noted.

In the raze of the inferno, some of the traders who deal mostly in second-hand clothing managed to salvage some of the items.

According to our Reporter, Personnel of the Fire Service were yet to speak on what could have contributed to the fire.
