President John Dramani Mahama has shared a heartfelt message to celebrate mothers across the country, showing appreciation for their hard work and promising continued support for women and families.
In a statement, he said, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the hardworking mothers who are doing their best every day to give their children a brighter future.”
He acknowledged the challenges many mothers face and praised their strength, saying their dedication encourages not only their children but entire communities.
The message also called on Ghanaians to remember the important role mothers play in shaping society.
“As we honour our mothers today, let’s also commit to building a country where every mother and child can do well and succeed,” he added.
Mr. Mahama assured that he remains focused on policies that benefit women, such as improving healthcare and education, and creating more economic opportunities for women to grow.
He ended the message with a personal thank you to the women who have played a big role in his life. “Let’s take time today to show love to the amazing women who raised and supported us. To my wife, Lordina, Vice President Naana Jane, and all mothers, I say thank you.”
