The occupant of the Golden Stool, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has admonished President John Dramani Mahama to remain steadfast in his commitment to national development and to continue his good works for the people of Ghana.
The Asantehene gave the admonition when he paid a courtesy call on President Mahama at the seat of government on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Accra.
The revered traditional leader commended President Mahama for his contributions to Ghana’s progress and encouraged him to maintain a high spirit of service and patriotism as the country works to overcome current economic and social challenges.
The Asantehene also praised Mr. Mahama for fulfilling promises made in his 120-day social contract with Ghanaians.
“I know you and your works and humility. Don’t change, and everything you do will be prosperous. Focus on your promises and see to it that you fulfill them… Be courageous and do all you can for the country.
Ghanaians have entrusted you with the country, and so live up to the task,” Otumfuo stated.
He also urged government appointees to support President Mahama in serving Ghanaians.
“Don’t forget yourselves. Ghanaians have entrusted the country to President John Mahama, so don’t fail him. You know all he went through to get here, so don’t fail him,” he cautioned.
