Parliament will reconvene on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, after a period of recess. This was officially communicated by the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
The upcoming session, known as the Second Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic, will begin on the stated date.
The Speaker’s notice was issued in line with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, which requires that Members of Parliament (MPs) be given formal notification ahead of any sitting.
The resumption marks the continuation of parliamentary activities, during which MPs will deliberate on pressing national matters, assess legislative proposals, and review reports from various parliamentary committees.
This session is expected to facilitate in-depth discussions on significant public issues and legislative priorities.
