Promasidor Ghana, a leading provider of high quality beverages and food products, has reached a significant milestone by becoming the first Ghanaian business certified for Food Safety Certification, FSSC22000 Version 6, by Societe General de Surveillance, a multinational company accredited to conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance with specific standards and regulations in Ghana.

This achievement highlights Promasidor Ghana’s dedication to enhancing food safety practices and supporting Sustainable Development Goals.

Promasidor Ghana produces diverse range of popular beverages and products that cater to various consumer needs. Some of their well-known brands are Cowbell Milk, Miksi Milk, Onga seasoning, and Loya Milk. These products are not only household favourites but also reflect Promasidor Ghana’s commitment to providing nutritious and high-quality food options which are also affordable to consumers across the country. Its dedication to food safety and environmental sustainability extends throughout the production process of these brands, ensuring they meet the highest standards while minimising environmental impact. It is for this reason that Promasidor Ghana has been awarded the Food Safety Certification, FSSC 22000, a globally recognised certification scheme for food safety management systems developed by the Foundation for Food Safety Certification. This certification is designed to enhance global food safety standards and underscores Promasidor Ghana’s commitment to ensuring the highest level of food safety.

Commenting on the Ghana-first FMCG to receive FSSC version 6 recognition, the Managing Director (MD) of PGH, Festus Tettey, said the certification is a testament to PGH’s devotion to improved food processes and controls.

“As a formidable business in its 25th year of operation, the certification reinforces our efforts at continuously improving our product quality, validates our excellent operating standards, adoption of world-class standards and our reputation for integrity, professionalism, excellence and accountability.”

The PGH MD added, “We are proud to be the first Ghanaian business to be certified to FSSC V6 by SGS in Ghana, and we pledge to improve continuously.”
