Speaker Alban Bagbin’s dispatch rider dies in accident

The dispatch rider leading Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin’s convoy is reported to have been involved in an accident in the early hours of Friday, August 6, 2021, in the Ashanti Region.

According to an eyewitness, the dispatch rider died on the spot when clearing the way for the advance team heading to Wa.

An eye witness Papa Richie with Ahenepa FM in Juaso told 3news that the accident occurred “the dispatch rider who was clearing the way for the Speaker died in the process at about 9 AM exactly at a place called Juaso, near Juaso Junction in the Ashanti Region”.

The body has been transferred from the Juaso Government Hospital to Accra for examination.

Meanwhile, The Speaker is in Accra performing Parliamentary duties.
