The Daily Graphic commends the leadership of the Student Loan Trust Fund for being proactive in its budget projection, as the first batch of Free SHS students graduate next year. According to the paper, the fund will now require more than ¢370 million to provide financial assistance to the 27,000 continuing students already on the scheme and those who may join from the first Free SHS batch, which is expected to be a 20 percent increment. The paper is hopeful government will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that students are not denied access to the funds.

The Ghanaian Times calls on Ghanaians to be extra vigilant especially in churches, mosques, hotels and other areas of public gathering because they have become targets for terrorist attacks. This is in view of reported attacks in places along the borders which have the tendency to spread to Ghana. The Times believes it is essential for the security agencies to ensure that the armed groups that perpetuate such attacks do not find the country a suitable ground to target and kill innocent people.
