The Daily Graphic calls on government to train and equip customs officers to monitor and crackdown on the influx of fake electrical appliances, second hand clothes, mattresses and other items from the western countries into Ghana. The paper encourages the security agencies to continue to be vigilant to protect the health and lives of consumers. The Graphic urges the regulatory agencies to intensify market surveillance to ensure that products on the market are wholesome and meet quality standards. It also asks consumers to properly examine products, including medicines to be sure of their quality before buying.

The Ghanaian Times believes that to achieve Universal Health Coverage in Ghana, there is the need to  expand the out-reach of CHPS compounds in the country, and resource  them with well-motivated health care providers and essential drugs to serve as a robust front line preventive and curative health care facility. As the world observes International Universal Health Coverage Day, the paper reminds government of its commitment to ensure a healthy population capable of contributing fully to Socio-e economic development through the provision of affordable, equitable, easily accessible and quality Universal Health Coverage.
