The Daily Graphic acknowledges the contribution of PTAs in schools as they provide facilities like pipe-borne water, dormitories and means of transport, among others. The paper notes however, that the provision of these facilities comes at a cost as activities of PTAs are funded by levies from members. Regrettably, however, some students face the wrath of school authorities for non-payment of PTA dues, as learners some times are refused access to the classrooms which affects teaching and learning. It says these negative effects have prompted GES to suspend the collection of PTA levies in all public Senior High Schools and Technical/vocational Institutions to enable it to streamline and review such levies. The Graphic hopes this will be done after thorough consultation with key stakeholders across board so that the outcome will enhance education for the benefit of society.

The Ghanaian Times is worried that the people of Dagbon who are of the same ancestry and predominantly of the same peaceful Islamic religion, would always take up arms against each other at the least provocation. It notes that, if it is Allah that all in Dagbon profess as the supreme God, to whom they are answerable to on judgement day, then there is no point not to forgive and forget about the past and forge ahead in unity and peace. The paper says people of Dagbon must not allow the devil to sway them into killing each other over an issue that can be resolved through dialogue and respect for customs and traditions. The Times therefore pleads with the people of Dagbon to show more commitment to the road map by adhering to the terms there-in to its logical conclusion.
