The Daily Graphic describes as good news the revelation by the Minister in Charge of Tertiary Education, Professor Kwesi Yankah, that a new placement system, the Centralised University Admissions and Placement Service, CAPS, would be established. The paper is particularly happy that CAPS will streamline tertiary admission processes and promote the right of every applicant to education through fair and efficient placement in universities. The Graphic urges the Ministry on and asks for more of such initiatives to reform the educational sector.

The Ghanaian Times believes the University of Ghana deserves tons of commendations for continually creating the platform for professionals and other officials from the private sector outside the confines of academia to deliberate on relevant national topics share their perspectives on such issues and make recommendation to government on the way forward. To the paper, there is the need to build stronger institutions, especially regulatory ones to enforce the relevant laws and regulations to guide lives in a manner that would ensure sustainable development.
