The Daily Graphic sees the flag-hoisting ceremony that took place Thursday to commemorate the 28th February Crossroads shooting incident as having a deeper and significant meaning for the Ghanaian. It is however saddened that the average Ghanaian is noted for demanding what the country can do for him or her, rather than what he or she can do for the country. It says Ghanaians of today have become so laid back with things concerning the country. The paper is deeply convinced God has blessed the country with all resources but the people have woefully refused to play their part to allow God’s manifold blessings to fall on the country.

The Ghanaian Times says the new power distribution arrangements must benefit all. It says it needs not remind Power Distribution Service, PDS, the new company that has taken over parts of electricity distribution in Accra of some challenges customers faced in the past and the deficiencies of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) itself. The paper says its expectation and that of the republic are that PDS would distribute electricity in a very efficient manner to stop power theft or commercial loses. It says in that way, more customers would pay their bills and the revenue generated could be used in improving the distribution of electricity in the country. The Times believes that if PDS delivers on its mandate, it would justify the decision by government to enter into the agreement and also attract more investment in the sector.
