The Daily Graphic commends the Police Administration for launching and sustaining its ‘Operation Father Christmas’ Programme which often gives hope and assurance to members of the public as they go about their day-to-day activities. The Paper wishes to remind the Police Service that its duty is to serve and not exploit the citizenry. The Graphic asks them to at all times be polite rather than abusing members of the public. The Paper appeals to the leadership of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department to deploy its personnel during the rush-hour periods to manage the traffic situation. The Graphic entreats the public to also respect and be decorous to the police as they go about their duties.
The Ghanaian Times says the fallen heroes in the country need to be honoured. The paper thereby commends the Police Service for honouring the memory of all the personnel who sacrificed their lives particularly in their line of duty. The Times asks the public to ensure they make the work of the police less dangerous. The Paper calls the government to continue providing the Police Service with the necessary logistics and equipment that would enable them to protect the citizenry. The Times urges the public to play their part in ensuring the peace and stability of the country by supporting the police.
