DAILY GRAPHIC: lauds the DVLA for the introduction of the smart card system. However, it says on its rounds January 2 at the offices of the DVLA, it encountered disappointed clients who had been in queues for long periods. The paper says though some still said the process was orderly and faster, compared to previous years, they were of the view that the implementation of the electronic registration would make things much simpler and easier. It therefore appeals to the licensing authority to expedite action on the plan to make it practicable this month as advertised since there are customers who went to the DVLA’s offices in the hope of doing their registration.

The Ghanaian Times says it has become a common practice for individuals to come out with New Year resolutions on their expectation in the New Year. The critical point here however is resolutions must come with change in attitudes. It says most resolutions have failed because they are not backed by genuine change in attitude and ways of doing things. The paper reminds Ghanaians that they are governed by a constitution which spells out the principles guiding organisation of our country as a sovereign state. The paper says Ghanaians need to support government to achieve its avowed aim of creating a just, equitable and prosperous society.
