The Ghanaian Times is concerned about timber racketeers who are on the rampage, rapidly depleting the rich vegetative cover on the Tindubu Hill Forest Reserve in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region. Tindubu Hill Forest Reserve is one of the few forest reserves left in the region and the racketeers are daringly carrying out their nefarious activities in the woods at night The Paper is surprised that the local authorities have allowed the plunder of forest reserve. The paper therefore calls on all and sundry and government to intervene immediately and implement a vigorous afforestation programme to save the reserve from total destruction.

From Monday, June 15, 2020, schools and universities will be reopened to allow final-year junior high school (JHS), senior high school (SHS) and university students to resume classes. The Daily Graphic wish to commend the President and all stakeholders for the measures so far put in place to reopen schools in phases and hope that all concerned will play their expected roles dutifully. The Paper however shares in the fears expressed by some parents regarding the use and possible crowding in dormitories and, therefore, the inability of their children to observe physical distancing protocols. The Paper hopes that those responsible for ensuring that the fumigation is done within schools will see to that a healthy environment is created and make parents relax concerning the safety of their children.
