Business Man Elected Upper West Regional NDC Chairman

A business man Abdul Nasir Saani has been elected the new Upper West regional Chairman of the NDC at the party Regional delegates conference at Wa.
He polled 307 to beat his only contender and incumbent Chairman Mathew Sung-aabo who polled 81 votes. A lawyer, Charles Lwaonga Puozuing also polled 179 to beat three other contestants.
Alhaji Nurah Issah Danwa retained his position as the deputy Regional Secretary by polling 346 to beat his only contender Lord  Baatuolkuu who had 43.
The Regional Organizer position went to Isahaku Nuhu Putiaha,  who had 276 votes.
Deputy Regional Organizer position went to Baseira Sankaara with 266. Nicodemus Dery retained his position as Regional Youth Organser by gannering 34.
Hajia Cecelia Hamza also retained her position as Regional Women’s organizer. The Regional Director of EC John Bosco Anyigri supervised the elections.
All the newly elected executives were sworn into office to begin a four year term.
