Government is holding a forum to collate views on how it can implement the Ghana Beyond Aid Agenda despite the devastating impact of COVID-19 on the Economy. Participating in the forum are the Clergy, Business Community, Trades Union Congress and Student Representatives.

Speakers at the Forum who made a case for the feasibility of Ghana Beyond Aid also pushed for some adjustments to the Policy. First was the Catholic Archbishop of the Cape Coast Diocese, Most Reverend Gabriel Palmer Buckle who called for a critical look at the canker of Cynicism which he said is worse than the magnitude of corruption affecting the country.

Renowned Economist, Kwame Pianim, questioned why Ghana was first to go begging for COVID-19 relief from the IMF at a time when Government is pushing for a Ghana Beyond Aid.

General of the TUC, Dr Yaw Baah called for restructuring of the economy such that more people are engaged in industry instead of the service sector. President of the Association of Ghana Industries, Dr Yaw Adu Gyamfi, asked government to invest in the Agro-processing sector of the Ghana Beyond Aid Policy.
