Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia, says the economy remains strong and robust despite the devastating effect the Coronavirus pandemic has brought to many economies.

Interacting with the media after a COVID-19 meeting at the Jubilee House, the Vice President described as unfortunate the recent comments made by the former President John Dramani Mahama about the economy in times when Ghana, and the whole world is battling the pandemic.

Vice President Bawumia intimated that this challenging era is not the time for political talks, adding that it would be prudent for the erstwhile government to take a second look at the statistics before commenting on the economy as Ghanaians have not forgotten about the poor state of the economy before  this government  turned things around.
