Cocoa Day: Ghanaians urged to eat what they grow

Ghana is the second biggest cocoa producer in the world but when it comes to its consumption Ghana is ranked among the lowest in the world. Switzerland tops the world’s cocoa per capita consumption with about 8 kilogrammes while that of an average Ghanaian is about 0.5 kilogrammes. The Chief Executive of Cocobod, Mr. Joseph Aidoo Boahene says the time has come for Ghanaians to eat what they grow and enjoy the full nutritional benefits of cocoa.
