Port Health workers at the Kotoka International Airport say language barrier is a challenge to their work especially getting the right information from travellers.

Government stationed port health personnel at the airport in the wake of the Coronavirus to screen passengers on arrival in the country. The move is part of measures to prevent the Coronavirus from entering the country.

Speaking to the media, the Head of Port Health at the Kotoka International Airport, Gideon Akwei said difficulty in communicating as a result of language barrier is impeding their work.

According to him, they screen more than two thousand passengers daily.

Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of Port healthcare, Dennis Laryea, has asked the public to provide the appropriate information for them to work with.
