The COVID-19 National Trust fund has announced tax reliefs to individuals and companies who donate to the trust fund.

This is however subject to fulfilling requirements that the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has set out in its recently published guidelines for the implementation of the tax incentives in support of taxpayers against the pandemic.

The Fund also announced a mobile money platform to make donating to fund easy.

The *877*100# momo platform will attract no interest when sending money on the major telecommunication networks.
Chairperson of the COVID-19 National Trust Fund, Justice Sophia Akuffo who announced this at a brief ceremony at Point 6 of the Jubilee House to distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to some selected institutions noted that the fund has so far accumulated over 50 million Ghana from individuals and corporate bodies.
The fund was set up by an Act of Parliament to augment government’s efforts aimed at supporting the needy and vulnerable in society in the wake of COVID-19.
