SC Freiburg midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh paid a morale‑boosting visit to his Black Stars teammates in Stuttgart on Sunday ahead of Ghana’s friendly against Germany later today.
The 28‑year‑old, who has been sidelined by injury for nearly three seasons, was warmly embraced by the squad, marking his first return to the national team setup since December 2022.
Always a fan‑favourite for his creativity and eye for goal, Kyereh’s presence brought smiles all around and served as a reminder of the quality Ghana have been missing.
Despite his long lay‑off, he remains deeply connected to the Black Stars, having earned 18 caps since his debut in a 4–3 win over Ethiopia in September 2021.
His surprise appearance at the final training session in Stuttgart offered a welcome boost of camaraderie and inspiration as the team prepares for a stern test against Germany.
Kick‑off for the match in Stuttgart is set for 18:45 GMT, with the return of Kyereh to the camp adding emotional weight to Ghana’s build‑up
