A Deputy Regional Director of Health in charge of clinical, Dr.  Braimah Abubakari disclosed this in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana in Tamale Monday, July 06, 2020.

The Northern Region recorded its first cases of the pandemic on March 29, by ten foreign Nationals who allegedly entered the country using unapproved routes following the closure of the borders.

The disease has been rising steadily since, with community infections accounting for nearly ninety percent of cases.
