Prioritize periodic career guidance counselling in SHS – Professor John Gyapong

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Prof. John Gyapong has emphasized the need to organise periodic career guidance counselling in secondary schools to aid students in their decision towards the world of work.

Speaking during a symposium organised by the 1978 year group of the St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School in Accra, Prof. John Gyapong said career development is a process that helps to train people for the job market.

It is also a significant part of human development and spans over the individual’s entire lifetime therefore, there is the need to prioritize it in schools.
