The Tertiary Educational Workers’ Union, TEWU is expected to meet with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission this week over the Union’s demand for improved conditions of service.
TEWU has for some time now been up in arms against the government demanding the finalization of a package for better conditions of service for its members.
Speaking to Radio Ghana ahead of the crunch meeting, General Secretary of TEWU, Mark Dankyira Korankye debunked the assertions that the Union is being inconsiderate in view of the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy.
He said the outbreak of Covid cannot be enough grounds to deny TEWU members their due.
