The Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has reiterated it’s vision for maintaining discipline at all levels to ensure the smooth running of the Institution.

The Council urges all staff and students to abide by the rules and principles to create harmony and best collaborations for the good of the University.

This came up at a media briefing by the Council at the Winneba Campus following the sanctions of some lecturers and non teaching staff which resulted in a rampage by a across section of students that brought about the closure of the school .

The Government nominee on the Governing Council, John Darko addressed the conference. The Council also took a swipe at UTAG’s stance describing their posture in the matter as hypocritical.

The Council further assures the public that the school will be re opened for academic work to continue as soon as few issues are resolved.
