Government through the Ministry of Health has released 6,885,000.00 Ghana cedis to the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons to cater for the fees for Postgraduate Training of Medical Practitioners for the 2019 / 2020 academic year.  This move which is in partnership with the Scholarship Secretariat is to help train more health professionals.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia who announced this at a short ceremony at the Jubilee House said while government continues to build health infrastructure, it is prudent to also train the needed human resource who will operate in the sector by providing scholarship for further studies to stem the challenge of brain-drain which is inimical to the growth of the economy.
