‘Every Ghanaian can work at UDS’- Minister

Upper West Regional Minister  Dr Hafiz Bin Salih says he is totally against a section of the public that think that leadership of the UDS Wa campus now Simon Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development should be natives of Upper West Region. The Regional Minister said every Ghanaian has the right to work in any part of the country without fear or intimidation.

Dr Bin Salih has therefore assured lecturers and staff of the University that their safety is guaranteed and they should continue to do their work without fear.

The Regional Minister made these remarks when the out-going Principal of the University, Professor Amin Alhassan, paid him a farewell visit at his office in Wa.

Professor Amin Alhassan was recently appointed Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation by the NMC.

The Regional Minister urged Professor Amin Alhassan to continue to sell the university to the outside world even in his new position.

The Regional Minister said though he is sad that Professor Amin Alhassan is leaving the University he is equally happy that he can still render services to the region through the position he is going to occupy.

The incoming- Director General of GBC, Professor Amin Alhassan, expressed gratitude to the Regional Coordinating Council and the Regional Minister in particular for the support it has given to the University in the last two decades.

Professor Amin Alhassan said he will continue to remember the region in his new capacity to push the development of the region forward.
