Abossey Okai spare parts hub in Accra has been burnt down by fire.
It is unclear what might have caused the fire which started at about 4pm, on Sunday.
But initial assessment by officials of the National Disaster Management Organisation, (NADMO), pointed to the burning of worn-out tyres close to the shops as the cause.
The fire service personnel were said to have arrived at about 5pm to battle the inferno which lasted at least two hours.
The extent of damage is yet to be assessed. Meanwhile, Police have cordoned off the area to continue an assessment.
