As part of measures to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in Ghana, fumigation of markets in the Ashanti region has begun Friday, March 27 morning.
GBC’s Georgina Ama Ankoma reports that at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi, security agencies dispatched the various spraying equipment to the 43 districts in the region.
She reports that the traders are complying with the directive and the markets have been vacated for the exercise to take off smoothly.
In an interview, Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi said the personnel (Zoomlion workers) numbering more than 1,000, the military and the other security personnel and all machines for the exercise have dispatched.
