Ghana condemns SA xenophobic attacks;creates call centre for ‘distressed’ Ghanaians

Ghana government has condemned the recent  xenophobic attacks on some African nationals in South Africa describing it as unfortunate.

The government through its mission in South Africa has created dedicated emergency lines for Ghanaians in distress in South Africa.

These were in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Accra on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

The statement further called on the South African authorities to take all necessary actions to tackle the problem which is posing a threat to the harmonious co-existence amongst South Africans and other Africans in the Southern African country.
