The Ghana Health Service has begun investing funds in making available both soft and hard copies of the Health Services Workers Code of Ethics to Health directorates for onward distribution to the staff at the various health facilities across the country.
This comes after it was realised that less than 5 percent are aware of the Code of Ethics and what it enjoins health professionals to do.
The Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Yao Yeboah said the lack of knowledge about health ethics is a contributory factor to the exhibition of inappropriate behaviour by some health professionals across the country.
He made this known when he visited the office of the Upper West Regional Minister in Wa.
